Tips to Survive Your Family Vacation
School’s out for the summer, which means only one thing- vacation time is here! Family vacations are a great way to bond with the fam, but let’s face it- a week or 2 in the car (especially with brothers and sisters) will inevitably lead to at least a couple of backseat fights. Make the most of your vacation time with these survival tips!
1. Pack some solo entertainment. Whether it’s a book or you Ipod (don’t forget your headphones!) having something to distract yourself that you can enjoy alone will help to keep you sane.
2. Take a break! If you find that the fam is getting to be to much to handle, give yourself a breather. Take a walk on your own or if you can’t escape the car, close your eyes and take a nap. You’ll come back or wake up feeling refreshed and ready for the rest of the day.
3. Learn to compromise. You probably aren’t going to want to do every activity that the other members of your family are psyched for, but remember that they might not want to do everything you want to do either. Let them indulge and enjoy what they want to do and hopefully they will do the same for you!

A GOOD DAY SLEEP really helped us to get rejuvenated and a personal ipod was my biggest friend at that time. But i would suggest if you are of my type you should carry a lot of food and ya it really helps.

We would find a cool place like by the air conditioner to help keep them cool and when we would stop at a hotel, we brought them with us. If the activities dont work take a nap which I had to do quite a bit of. We drove to Canada and we were gone for 1 month and it was rough sometimes. Make up some games too.
