Make Friends Not Frenemies

You’re stoked about your new boyfriend, but your friendships shouldn’t suffer at the hands of romance. Here are a few simple ways to make time for your friends (and not make them frien'emies - you know, friend enemies).
1. Have a regular girls’ night out: no boyfriends, no drama. Get dinner, get drinks, and get caught up on each others’ lives. Or designate a weekly girls-only activity together, whether it’s shopping, yoga, or catching a chick flick.
2. Face-time - not FaceBOOK time. Writing on your friend’s Facebook wall isn’t enough. Block out some time each week to pick up the phone for a quick catch-up, or call when you’re doing a chore that doesn’t require your full attention. Just make sure you’re really listening when she’s talking.
3. Double-Date it! You don’t want to bring your boyfriend along to your girls’ night out any more than you want to bring your friend on a romantic trip. But if you’re just grabbing dinner or have a day out you think your gal pal would be interested in, invite her along! If you’ve got any coupled-up friends, go for a double date; the guys can get to know each other, and you can get to know your friend’s guy.

friendship needs commitment above all things. its not always about the good times, boyfriend's talks and hanging out, but the beauty of above it all that is important.

This is true, i no i am young but i was with a guy for a year, but i lost so many friends. I used to only text them or facebook them, and now i broken up with him:( but at least i got my girls back =D xxx

They still have not forgiven me. Not that I went around the office gossiping about her but I did confide in someone about it. So I let them know I got it wrong too. So getting that wrong on top of no longer hanging around anymore well lets just say, inspite of my mistakes God is sustaining me through the looks and comments. Through it all I've been learning the importance of friendship in some situtations a little too late but I have hope.

At the time I didnt see it to be my right to say "guys these conversations are too negative, lets find something else to talk about". So I dissappeard. Didnt go over so well. I always always make time for all of my friends, i call them or i write a message or when i see them... we choose a day were we have time, so we can have fun! And i have never been dumped by someone that thought my friends were on the front row...or what so ever...
But i also think, if someone whould ever dump you because of such a stupid reason....then he's Definitly not your friend, as friends you should understand each other when you have true friendship! LoveYou Tyra
