Bad Hair Days Be Gone
1. Keep it Trim!
Losing the dead ends will make your hair look healthier instantly. You should get a trim about every 6 weeks.
2. Comb with Care!
Detangle knots either by hand or with a comb (NEVER with a brush). Wide-toothed, wooden combs are best for this. Conditioners will also help to ease the stress.
3. Get Rid of the Shampoo!
Avoid lathering up every day (it will dry out your hair). When buying shampoo, look for ones without silicone ingredients, which are bad for any kind of hair.
4. Oil up!
Olive oil makes a great at-home hot treatment. Warm up some oil and soak your hair from root to tip. Wrap in a towel and let it sit for an hour or two. Lather up and rinse for silky smooth hair! Out of olive oil? Mayonnaise will also do the trick.
5. Take the Heat Off!
Hair dryers and flat irons can damage hair. Give your tresses a break at least once a week. Braid or bun it up for a classic (heat-free) style!
When all else fails, turn your hair from frumpy to fierce by adding a hair accessory!

I always use heat protection spray when I straighten it and when it's curly I use stuff to define the curls and keep the frizz down :)

My hair is very, very thin. My dads hair is thin and my moms hair is also thin. Besides having thin hair, I don't have a lot of it. Since I was in 5th grade I've been dying my hair and that dying has made my hair frizzy and dead. Now, my hair wont even hold color. I have used hair masks and in home hot oil treatments (olive oil as an example) but it still wont hold the color. I'm trying to dye my hair from a light brown to a auburn that has more red then brown in it. Do you know what I could do to help my hair hold color? Thanks!

I have course hair. when i was younger it was easy to handle. it was straight, silky perfect. but now my hair is dry and dead. I've done the putting eggs and olive oil in my hair because it provides proteins for my hair and today i put bananas in my hair, which actually helped. it made my hair looking healthier and shiny which is great. but since my hair is kinda puffy, how do i keep the freeze down so i can be comfortable with wearing my hair down all the time and do you have any tips of how to always have non dry and dead hair. Thankyou.
