Whitney has been in the media spotlight even since ANTM launched her career. In our final interview we found out what she would like to see changed and what her plans are for the future…
What would you like to see changed in terms of how women are portrayed in the media?
When it comes to women in media, I would like to see more strong women portrayed, not just as talk-show hosts, but also on sitcoms. I'm so sick of seeing super skinny women with big boobs, loser husbands and no personality. I'd like to see a curvy woman with a super hot husband and a totally successful life! That would be a show worth Tevo-ing!
How do you think full figured models can help change the media perception of “beautiful”?
We represent a love of one's self, regardless of the size on our jeans. 8 year old girls are on diets because the media has spent the last 30 years telling us that size 6 is too big. We have a responsibility to change that. We are role models, fighting for the future health of men, women and children. We are teaching people to love their curves like we do!
Inspiring confidence and helping women to accept themselves as they are is really important to you. What have you been working on recently?
I have been speaking at Universities across the country on healthy body image. It's good to be more than just a pretty face. I am also an ambassador for the National Eating Disorders Association where I can help people with body image problems. I also launched my own jewelry and candle line appropriately named "Supermodel". You can check it out at www.ShopSupermodel.com. The candles come in nine different fashion-themed scents like Milan Melon and Paris and Berries, etc. and are designed to make any woman feel like a supermodel! A percentage of all the proceeds go to the National Eating Disorder Association.
I think that Whitney is beautiful! She knows what shes talking about too!:) Im glad she won Americas nxt top model, because it gives us girls who aren't skinny little twigs hope for a chance to model!
She is very beautiful and sexy, i think the full figured models should be given the opportunity to make their dreams come true.
I'm a Fitness Model. We're Short, we're not necassarily skinny but we look great in a swim suit & we bust our butts to achieve our physiques... WHEN DO WE GET MORE RECOGNITION?
I must say that her and jaslene's story have inspired me.Seeing these two really going for it shows that the world can overcome any wrong diversity and sterotypes.
I believe this all of this is very important for women to realize and understand. You are who you are its how you work it that matters. Beauty is within and there should be more stronger women in the media.

I am proud of my size 6 and 8 pants. I work out to try and get things toned back I had a child recently so I'm trying to "firm" things back up a bit but, I'm very proud to be curvy and it makes a woman a real woman i us ... moreI am proud of my size 6 and 8 pants. I work out to try and get things toned back I had a child recently so I'm trying to "firm" things back up a bit but, I'm very proud to be curvy and it makes a woman a real woman i used to be a size 1 and I can never imagine myself that skinny anymore looking back at pictures i looked sick. I love my curves every woman should.

Every waking moment and opportunity you get, spread the word and don't settle for less.
