Model Mommagers
When Tyra went to Paris to walk in her first runway show, she was over whelmed and turned to who else- her Ma! Ma got on the first flight to Eurpoe to be by her baby girl’s side. Today, Tyra may not be a runway model, but until a few years ago, she still had a model mommager (aka mom who is her manager) looking after her career and her business. Now Tyra has taken over her seat as CEO of Bankable.
Tyra isn’t the only one who had a mommager! Lots of models have moms who have a heavy hand in their careers. Others are following in their famous model mother’s footsteps. Here are some of our fave mother daughter model duos!
• Chanel Iman (new addition to the Victoria’s Secret, and model that Tyra mentors) can almost always be found with her mom China backstage at runway shows.
• Jerry Hall (one of the first supermodels in the 70’s) is majorly proud of her daughter Georgia who has a super successful modeling career. Pictures courtesy of Style.com
• This year’s fall Fashion Week’s #1 Runway Girl Jacquelyn Jablonski said she got through the long week with the support of her parents who came to almost all of her shows and were always snapping photos of her backstage!
• Alexandra and Theodora Richards (daughters of Rolling Stone rocker Keith Richards) have appeared in campaigns with their model mom Patti.

My mom accompanies me to most of my shoots, she not really into it so she's not a real 'mommager' but she wants to go with me.

My mom is always working for me trying to make sure that I get to the events that will help boost my career and she is also the one that edits my work before I post and before I tape. I am also glad to have my dad with me because he keeps the creeps away and he is the one that tapes for me. I am very lucky.

Mother's are the best (as well as father's)! They give you honest feedback, support your wildest dreams, and act as a best friend. It's wonderful to see so many models working with their mother's as their managers.
