To Tweeze or Not To Tweeze
As you already know, taking a good picture is all about the SMIZE! But what’s the best way to go about framing those beautiful eyes of yours? I’ve broken down the pros and cons of the three most popular methods of shaping your eyebrows- tweezing, waxing, and threading. Read on to find out which is best for you!
Tweezing*
Pros:
- More control over what hairs you are removing
- Easy to do yourself and can be done any time, any place
- Takes a long time because you can only remove one hair at a time
- Hard to get all the hairs, especially fine ones
*I’m a tweezer! I don’t have thick eyebrows (I usually pencil them in to make them appear darker and thicker) so I don’t have to do a lot of brow maintenance. When I have to get rid of a stray hair though, I turn to my trusty tweezers! I’m bad though… my make up artist (Valente) is always yelling at me about not tweezing them as often as I should! I usually fight back cause you can’t see them on TV, but he reminds me that everyone else can see them!
Waxing
Pros:
- Fast, as you can remove much more hair at one time
- Easily grab all hairs, even the fine ones
- Painful because you are removing multiple hairs at once
- Have to pay a professional to do it or buy lots of supplies to do it yourself
Threading
Pros:
- Very precise in the hairs that are removed
- Causes less irritation than tweezing or waxing
- Can be hard to find someone who is experienced/professional at threading unless you live in a metropolitan city
- Very hard to do at home on your own
I asked some of my fans how they shaped up their brows and here are the results:
Tweeze: 30%
Wax: 47%
Thread: 17%
Natural: 6%
How do you get your brows under control? Tell me in the comments section!

uhhh well i dnt tweeze, wax or thread. i usually do them on my own.i use a razor blade n love em' arched!!!!!
I'm a tweezer :)
I get a little both of waxing n tweezing but of course I don't do them myself.
I get my eyebrows waxed because they are so thick and it is hard to tweeze them myself, but it gets so expensive because I have to get them done at least every two weeks!
I use to draw oo my eyebrows...yup i know stereotype of a typical mexican lol. i recently let them grow out so now i get them waxed because i really dont have patience to be tweezin them and if i start tweezin i tend to ... moreI use to draw oo my eyebrows...yup i know stereotype of a typical mexican lol. i recently let them grow out so now i get them waxed because i really dont have patience to be tweezin them and if i start tweezin i tend to remove more then what i have too...lol

I get them professionally waxed when I'm in deep need of a shaping, otherwise I tweeze on my own!
Definitely Tweeze
i use tweezers, but its soo hard for me to tweeze my eyebrowa, like the other have like an arch to it & the other don't. & the end of my eyebrows ends up being thin, & i hate it.
well i tweeze and wax but to save money ill get them waxed and keep up on them until i just really need to go back to the salon
threading is the way forward tyra, no doubt
I use the Good Razor Blade every two or three days, is that bad?
I've never attempted nor do I ever want to tweeze or change my eyebrows in any way. I love them how they are and I don't want to change them one bit!
I used to use the eyebrow razor then i started to waz because it last way longer and i tweze in btw visits
I LOVE getting them waxed . its pretty cheap where i live, & it just gets it over & done with. tweezing is a lot more painful but hey sometimes you can't make it out so you just have to use those tweezers sisters!
I also tweeze my brows. I like to use natural light to help me see the fine hairs as well as the darker ones. Threading is Awsome! Yes it hurts a little, just like tweezing but its faster, so the pain time is minimized. Plus the women who thread are great. Every one should try it.
I tweeze my eyebrows because i've heard that threading and waxing is too painful, plus the thought of hot wax anywhere on my face terrifies me! I've been tweezing since sixth grade so i'm like a pro at shaping my brows. I have thin eyebrows and you can't really see them unless i color them in. I use eyebrow powder from New York Color(NYC) it's only $3 but works wonders for me. Just check out my pic!
