Zap That Zit
Everyone dreads them. Everyone gets them. I’ve tweeted about my frustration for my zits ("I wake up w/a new zit a day. gonna make one or two or three of em a mole 2morrow. a la marilyn"), so I want to let you guys in on my zit covering secrets. Here’s a look into my “zap that zit” routine.
1. Exfoliate! Before that head comes risin’ out of your face, stop it in its tracks. Watch my Tyra Tips about exfoliation on how to do it.
2. Rid the Red. Soak a cotton ball with eye-drops (with the ingredients potassium chloride and tetrahydrozoline hydrochloride) and hold on the zit for about a minute to reduce redness.
3. Go Green. Concealer that is! The color green is opposite of red on the color wheel, so if you are fair skinned it will hide your redness best. They come in all forms, so pick whatever suits your liking!
4. Mix it in. Apply some creamy concealer that matches your foundation EXACTLY. You want to really blend that puppy (pimple) in. It’s best to use a concealer brush or a make-up sponge for this. NEVER use your fingers!
5. Powder Power. Last step is to take some translucent powder (use a powder brush) and brush it all over your face to blend textures. This will also keep it strong all day long.
6. Make it a Mole! If you can't get rid of it, camouflage it! Transform your zit into a beauty mark with a brown or black eye liner pencil.

This helps me A LOT because i can't stand breakouts like everyone else by covering them up with lots make-up. I squeeze pimples! It's a horrible habit but I like to get the whÃte stuff out. It's discusting but at the same time oddly satisfying.

Great Tips! I do makeup on the side so this always good to get new insights to a craft that I love so much. What I need to really do is exfoliate, so im gonna get on that.

I just always worry that if I use a brush or sponge to apply make-up to a pimple that the brush will then get all dirty and spread the pimples... :S

i love #6 i do it all the time i just take a eye pencil and make a dot on it and it makes it look so hot.
Tyra! Totally took your advice and went Marlyn with it honey! My husband wouldn't leave me alone.. "What a beauty mark who you trying to look cute for" ..So when all else fails.. GO MARLYN MONROE on em! lol
if your eye lids are not even....how should you wear your make up????
